hi, i'm von (he/him), it's nice to meet you.
my work focuses on uplifting the intersections of queer masculinity and asian diasporic identity through essays, poetry, and speculative fiction. i center themes of surrealism, transsexuality, existentialism, and ancestry. i hope to tell stories that illuminate the horrors, allowing us to find the light within them.i'm a north carolinian raised on the obx. i attended east carolina university and the university of north carolina at wilmington, where i received my master of arts in sociology. my scholarship explored the social construction of community, the nuances of marginality, and how we are all capable of unspeakable harm and profound healing.in my down time, you can almost always find me at a local coffee spot, chasing the sunrise on the atlantic, at a fall out boy concert, or pedaling it out at an indoor cycling class.

for me, the best part about being a copywriter is helping values-aligned clients motivate their communities to action. i love uplifting things i'm passionate about to targeted audiences who i know share those passions. i truly believe that the best way to get your audience to take action is to connect with our shared humanity.this is also what sets me apart - my approach to copywriting is building a strong foundational relationship with you and what you have to offer the world. i am a grounded creative with an analytical framework who is motivated by positive change and tangible impact. i thread the needle between creating words you can hang your hat on that also yield the results you need to succeed.i gravitate toward clients who are trying to leave the world a little better than they found it. i'm a subject matter expert in events, non-profit strategy, social impact, learning & development, and travel.but! i swear by the old adage: a jack of all trades and a master of none is better than a master of one. if you're trying to improve the world, i want to help you tell people about it.my clients see:
